Cooperation Projects

The DFN-Verein has been cooperating with the RRZE for many years and together investigated new developments in various research projects. Primarily involved in this cooperation with the DFN-Verein is the Network Research Group of the RRZE Communications Department.

• GÉANT5 Phase 2 (GN5-2, 2025-2026): Part of the EU framework program Horizon Europe (direct successor of Horizon 2020). The Network Research Group works together with the DFN in the following subareas:

  • Work Package 7: Network Infrastructure and Service Evolution and Operations
• QuNet+ML (2022-06/2025): Optimization of quantum communication networks using machine learning.
