DVN-GVS: New national testbed service of the DFN
The WiN-Lab managed the DFN pilot service “General-Virtualization-Service (GVS)”. This service enabled end users to create own virtual networks via a web interface within a pilot infrastructure. These virtual networks could be used as testbeds, enabling user to independently experience and test new concepts and developments. The ressources available to the user in these virtual networks contained virtual machines, bare-metal servers, OpenFlow switches, as well as dedicated links on physical hardware.
